Mattel and Italy’s dev Milestone Games (also known for MotoGP and Monster Energy Supercross) have joined forces for a new Hot Wheels game. It is called Unleashed and if it is going to look anything like the video trailer, then please, take our money.

According to CNET, the game is coming on pretty much everything: PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and, of course, PC.

From what we can tell from the trailer, the whole point of the game is to experience racing in different settings built in a home garage or a living room from the toy car’s POV. Or, as per the official release, gamers will be able to “drive the cars as if they were playing with the die-cast toys.” Which is a bit ambiguous at this point, to say the least.

There’s little info to go by for the time being – we are obviously keen to learn more about the car selection and whatnot, but Mattel says the game will include a custom track editor.

In all fairness, the images in the video are not in-game footage. Still, the game is bound to hit Hot Wheels die-hards right in the feels although we are going to have to show some patience before actually getting to play it.

Hot Wheels Unleashed debuts on September 30 on all the above-mentioned platforms.

At that time, he was too young to know how they worked and way too young to drive them, but he could see one thing – each of them had a different ethos and their own unique personality. As time went on, he started seeing that in other cars as well, and his love for the automobile was born.  Read full bio
