• The Pagani Huayra Roadster BC Just Debuted On CSR 2

Boutique carmaker Pagani Automobili has joined forces with CSR 2 in unveiling the stunningly sexy Huayra Roadster BC both online and offline. We’re not surprised, though, because we are living in the digital era, where people can witness events from the comfort of their couch. It goes the same with the Huayra Roadster BC’s launch - fans of the CSR 2 franchise get to try out the car on their smartphone, while the 1% and select members of the press get to see it in the metal.

How Can I Get The Huayra Roadster BC In CSR 2?

Before answering, we’ll assume the obvious: you must download and install CSR 2 on your smartphone. Captain Obvious things aside, Zynga says that the new Pagani Huayra Roadster BC will be available in a scenario that involves a special “80 race ladder” which will have players unlock a time attack leaderboard at the end of it. Now, those familiar with the CSR franchise in general know that the cars featured in the game are replicated to the smallest possible detail, so it’s safe to say the same goes for the Huayra Roadster BC, especially since the game developer says the car has been “meticulously rebuilt” in CSR 2. Otherwise, we can imagine mister Horacio Pagani storming Zynga’s design studios and making an ugly scene.

Now, for the said ladder, keep in mind that you’ll have to enter it using a “run-of-the-mill” Pagani Huayra Coupé. Every player in the game will get it in the form of a gift, so you won’t have to splash the virtual coin for it. It’s during the event that you get the chance to add the Huayra Roadster BC to your garage. But, BUT, there’s also a major goodie waiting for you: the final reward is the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta.

Cool, But How About The Real Pagani Huayra Roadster BC?

Well, we’re glad you asked. The thing is, most likely you won’t be able to get it. But we feel you. The real-life Huayra Roadster BC, the one only the rich will get to drive - unless you somehow manage to steal one - packs the same AMG-engineered, 6-liter V-12 engine like the solid-roof 2017 Huayra BC but retuned to produce 791 horsepower and 1,050 Nm (775 lb-ft) of torque. By comparison, the coupé BC “only” churns out 739 horsepower and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of twist.

The rear axle is the lucky winner that gets all that power and torque through a seven-speed, single-clutch automated gearbox. On the downside, Pagani doesn’t want us to know how quick or fast the Roadster BC is, but that is likely to change in the future. Either way, there’s no doubt we will be looking at blistering performance on both fronts. That aside, the Huayra Roadster BC was very close to defy the rule that says cabrios and roadsters are heavier than the coupés they stem from for the simple reason that they require extra stiffening to keep everything together since the lack of a solid roof puts a dent in overall rigidity. Pagani says the Roadster BC weighs 2,756 pounds, while the regular BC tips the scales at 2,685 pounds. That’s a difference of just 71 pounds (32 kilos).

Now, remember how we shattered your hopes (our too, you know) by saying you can’t get one? Here’s the main reason: it wears a price tag of $3.4 million and just 40 will be ever assembled by Horacio Pagani’s skilled artisans. So, yeah, we’ll stick to just downloading CSR 2 and procrastinating what’s left of this day until our sorrow is drowned.

Tudor’s first encounter with cars took place when he was only a child. Back then, his father brought home a Trabant 601 Kombi and a few years later, a Wartburg 353. At that time, he was too young to know how they worked and way too young to drive them, but he could see one thing – each of them had a different ethos and their own unique personality. As time went on, he started seeing that in other cars as well, and his love for the automobile was born.  Read full bio
