It seems like hybrid supercars are the thing now, as more and more of them keep cropping up left and right like mushrooms. This brings us to the Czinger 21C – a car introduced in 2020 by American hybrid carmaker, Czinger Vehicles. The car certainly boasts impressive figures, and recently, it added another one to its resume.

Back in February of 2020 Czinger debuted the 21C, a car we billed as the model that would bring the hypercar crown to America. Featuring a unique V-8 engine, tandem seating, and AWD, the C21 will only be produced in 80 examples, and now we finally get to see what the actual production version looks like. At first glance, it hasn’t changed much, but there are a handful of upgrades that make it even better than expected.

Czinger is not a new name in the car realm. Those of you who remember the 2015 Divergent Blade know it was conceived by Divergent Technologies, whose CEO and founder is Kevin Czinger, who is now also leading California’s Czinger Vehicles. Their first hypercar is called the 21C and it should have made a proper physical debut in Geneva, but it wasn’t meant to be. Still, the 21C is an amazing, forward-thinking hypercar and we’re here to get you up to speed with it.

Czinger has created quite a bit of buzz. Its name alone has spawned a lot of interest, and then we got to lay eyes on the 21C hypercar, and things have been flowing uphill ever since. This is despite the fact that the company didn’t get the massive initial debut it expected at the Geneva Motor Show. Despite that small setback, we’re here to tell you that Czinger isn’t a one-hit wonder. In fact, it’s quite the opposite with other new models already “well in development.” How’s that for a twist in a world where supercar and hypercar startups usually fade just as fast as they show up?

The Czinger 21C will walk that walk in March, at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, and it will do it with a V-8 built in-house and a pair of electric motors. Oh, yeah, and it’s blisteringly quick and fast, and Czinger plans to build just 80 examples, each priced at $1.7 million before any packages or options. Stick with us for the whole plot.
