Ford has let out its ultimate prizefighter to take on the Jeep Wrangler

After being in production for over three decades, the Bronco went down in the history books as one of the most hardcore SUVs that mankind had ever seen. The SUV was developed as an off-roader to take on the Jeep CJ-5, and it succeeded to a large extent. However, the company decided to put down the model in 1996 to make way for a newer lineup. Purists and enthusiasts hoped the model would make a comeback, and after 20+ years, the moniker has come back from the ashes.

Rumors about its reincarnation started many years back, but the company didn’t confirm its existence until less than a year before it was unveiled. The wait was not easy, but it was worth it. The company launched the rugged, off-road Bronco in two- and four-door configurations, to go with an urban version with an off-road bias called the Bronco Sport. Ford will offer hundreds of optional accessories right from its launch as well. Despite all this, does it have in it to take on the undisputed king of the segment, the Jeep Wrangler?

Did You Know That Buying A Ford Bronco Sport Helps In Saving Our Oceans?

Okay, maybe not directly, but here’s where Ford’s reasoning comes from

Buying a car is not exactly what you would call a very eco-friendly choice. After all, depending on how it’s manufactured, it will probably contribute in more ways than one to greenhouse gas emissions or material waste. In the case of the Ford Bronco Sport, buying one could mean ridding the ocean from plastic pollution.

This order guide confirms that the Sasquatch Package will be offered with a manual gearbox on the 2022 Bronco

When Ford revived the Bronco moniker from the ashes, it made sure to cover all bases possible. It missed out on a couple of them, like not offering a V-8 and not making a manual gearbox available with the Sasquatch Package. The latter was rectified soon, and now there’s an official confirmation stating the same.

A user on Bronco6g.com forum attached an order guide for the 2022 Bronco that shows that the beefy Sasquatch package is available with the manual gearbox. Not exactly a surprise, but it’s good to have an official confirmation.

Details about the 2022 Bronco Raptor have leaked via the Dealer Ordering System

These details were most likely added by a Ford store employee. The Ford Bronco Is No Match For The Jeep Wrangler 4xe In Drag Races

The Ford Bronco Is No Match For The Jeep Wrangler 4xe In Drag Races

As sad as it may sound, the Bronco was obliterated, annihilated, and exterminated by the Wrangler 4xe

The Ford Bronco has been at the Wrangler’s throat ever since it was conceptualized. Targeted to take it on from all the sides, the Bronco came out all guns blazing. However, Jeep has made some smart and methodical strikes to some of Bronco’s most vulnerable areas that have skewed the results back in balance. For starters, there was the announcement of the V-8 Wrangler hours before the Bronco’s much-anticipated debut. Then there was the adoption of electrification in the form of the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid. While you can get the V-8 conversion, you can’t get a plug-in hybrid setup installed on the Bronco, thus giving the edge to the Jeep product.

While the off-roading prowess of the Bronco is as good as – if not better – than the Wrangler 4xe, the on-road performance is not. To test this out, the folks at The Fast Lane Car decided to test this out by pitting the two for a series of straight-line races.

The Ford Bronco Was Apparently Raised By Goats And We’re Not A Fan

This new commercial for the Ford Bronco is so lame that it belongs in 2020

As far as origin stories go, the Ford Bronco’s genesis is as weird as it gets. No doubt, Ford wants to integrate the SUV’s “Goes Over All Terran” (G.O.A.T.) driving models into this commercial, and it did just that by adding goats into the tale of the Bronco’s birth. The ad is strange in so many ways that you might as well believe it if you’re the type to believe that such a scenario — a young, injured colt getting raised by goats — actually happens in this fair world of ours. But it is a commercial, and every commercial’s goal is to get people to talk about it. So, in a roundabout way, Ford’s “Raised by Goats” commercial for the Bronco succeeds in its intended objective. We’re talking about it, albeit with plenty of raised eyebrows and confused looks.

Ford Didn’t Even Bother To Check if the Coyote V-8 Would Fit in the 2021 Bronco

When the Bronco was unveiled, a lot of us were disappointed by the absence of a V-8 mill. But, we still had hopes that it could become a reality someday. However, Ford made it clear that a V-8 will not be offered here. Although we had our deliberations, this confirmation from Ford served as the final nail in the coffin.

It has now come to light that Ford was sure about not offering one right from the start. In fact, it even built the Bronco without bothering to check if a V-8 engine could be plonked in or not! This Trivial Complaint About the Ford Bronco Confirms How Entitled People Are In 2020

Air conditioning is not a ‘feature’ in cars anymore. It’s available from the entry-level cars to the most expensive ones. The only thing that differs in cars across the range is the availability of rear A/C vents, automatic climate zone, multiple-zone control, etc.

When Ford launched the Bronco, one such feature that didn’t made the cut was the conventional rear A/C vents as seen in other cars. Although it didn’t seem like a deal-breaker considering its niche, some people have been nitpicking this feature to a point where Ford had to address the “issue” and shed some light on it. This goes on to show how entitled people are these days.

At the 1981 Chicago Auto Show, Ford unveiled a rather unusual concept called the Montana Lobo. It seemed too radical for its time and felt as though it was taken straight out of a sci-fi movie. It broke all the perceptions associated with a rugged off-roader like the Bronco. The company came up with this unusual concept to get in the flow with the growing popularity of smaller pickup trucks and SUVs. Although it didn’t make it to production and none of the ideas or design elements were incorporated in the future models, the Bronco Montana Lobo goes down in the history books as one of the most interesting concepts Ford has ever built.

You May See the Ford Bronco R Baja Racer Again Soon

Ford is open to building the Bronco R if people ready to buy it

Ford surprised a lot of people by entering the Bronco’s prototype at last year’s Baja 100 race. As a marketing strategy, it paid off even if it failed to finish the race. People kept talking about it for a long time, even though they weren’t good things. Ford’s Communications Manager, Mike Levine, had tweeted after the Bronco R’s unsuccessful stint that Ford will be back for next year’s event; and, guess what? The company is staying true to its words.

Ford recently admitted that the automaker is open to selling the Bronco R as a turnkey project truck to race teams as long as people are willing to buy it. Will it be successful in its second attempt?

New Evidence Says A Ford Bronco Raptor Will Debut in 2022

New Evidence Says A Ford Bronco Raptor Will Debut in 2022

A Reliable Indirect Source From Within Ford Hints at a Ford Bronco Raptor

Alright, we get it – anything that carries a Ford badge and can go off-road be offered in extreme Raptor trim. You can’t knock the brand- it’s no worse than dodge cramming a Hellcat V-8 into almost anything FCA sells (we’re still waiting on that Pacifica Hellcat, though). So, naturally, before the 2021 Bronco even made its debut, the world was expecting a Raptor version to cross the intersection at one point or another. Obviously, it wasn’t going to happen right away, but new evidence has come to light that says that a Ford Bronco Raptor will launch for the 2023 model year – that means we could see it as soon as mid-2022!

Tuners Beware: Ford Has Digital Walls to Prevent People from Altering the Bronco’s Computer

Ford To Limit or Prevent any Tuners From Altering the Ford Bronco’s ECU

Much like the Jeep Wrangler, the 2021 Ford Bronco is designed with customization in mind. The company is even offering more than 200 accessories for the Bronco when it hits showrooms, but powertrain upgrades might not be possible via aftermarket means. According to Ford, the ECU is very complicated, and, essentially, nobody should be playing around with ECU calibration. That means aftermarket companies might find the new Bronco to be untunable.

This 2021 Ford Bronco With Wood Trim is Oddly Mesmerizing

Here’s to hoping that see something like this in the real world soon

The return of the Ford Bronco isn’t your typical automotive comeback. The SUV isn’t just making a comeback as a nameplate; it’s become its own sub-brand under Ford. More to that, the Bronco has captured the attention of the SUV world in ways few of its kind have been able to do in the past. That’s especially true when you look at all the renderings that have come out, specifically those of the “Woody” variety. Woody Broncos are all over Instagram, including this piece of work from artist Timothy Adry Emmanuel, who goes by the IG handle “adry53customs.” Emmanuel has an impressive catalog of car renderings on his Instagram page, ranging from Volkswagens to RAM pickup trucks. But his work on the Bronco is something else, at least if you’re a fan of the “woodie” car style that was all the rage in the previous century. We don’t see woodie’s these days anymore, but Emmanuel’s rendering is a perfect call back, not only to the Bronco but to the woodie car style as well. Put those two elements together, and the result is nothing short of impressive.

Sorry, Europeans, No Ford Bronco For You

Sorry, Europeans, No Ford Bronco For You

It’s Official: The 2021 Ford Bronco Isn’t for Europe

On the onset, the new 2021 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport appear to be a big hit for the blue oval. In the first three weeks after its reveal, North American consumers have made more than 165,000 reservations – something that appears to be a first for Ford. Of course, those reservations only required a refundable, $100 deposit, but for now, things are looking great the new Bronco. But it’s not all peaches and cream and, as it turns out, the Bronco and Bronco Sport are going to be absent from a major market. The worst part is that you can blame the government and you’d likely be right for once.
