Porsche and TAG Heuer have collaborated in the past in various capacities, but the two brands have never formalized that partnership until now. Porsche and TAG Heuer are now official strategic partners, and to consummate the marriage, the two are launching the delightful — and expensive — TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph.

Inspired by the “Carrera” name that both brands have used since the onset of their histories, two versions of the Carrera Porsche Chronograph are available.

Bugatti is known as much for record-setting supercars as it is for establishing relationships with premium brands from other industries. Just recently, the French carmaker partnered with premium audio company Tidal Audio to create a new line of Royale home audio systems.

Not content with slapping its badge on these gargantuan speakers, Bugatti went ahead and reconnected with old-running mate Jacob & Co. to create a limited edition version of the latter’s already limited Chiron Tourbillon timepiece.

Supercar-inspired watches? Yeah, we’ve seen our fair share of those. You’d also think that this fad would go away at some point, but apparently, there are plenty of rich people willing to pay a fortune on a watch that matches their garage speed demon.

For those, luxury companies such as Geneva-based Jacob&Co are happy to create the most outlandish timepieces inspired by actual hypercars. And that’s how we can tell you more about the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+-inspired Twin Turbo Furious watch.

We keep seeing reports about an upcoming financial crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, but they’re not stopping many luxury companies from rolling out new products. That’s the case with Jacob & Co., which just released a very expensive watch. It’s called the Bugatti Chiron 16 Cylinder Tourbillon, it’s inspired by the French supercar, and it costs an eye-watering $280,000.

Former Formula 1 race driver Rubes Barrichello has teamed up with Swiss watchmaking shop Artisans de Genève to created a timepiece based on a Rolex chassis. The watch is, of course, inspired by the mechanics of Barrichello’s former F1 cars and has been heavily customized - with plenty of class, that is - to the driver’s personal preference. Oh, and yeah, it’s more expensive than the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8. We’ll get to that in a minute.

On that note, here’s our question: when are we going to see a Corvette C8-inspired watch?

Slowly but steadily approaching its retirement, the mighty Godzilla of the automotive world has been receiving facelifts and special editions as part of Nissan’s strategy to keep buyer interest as high as possible. But there’s no denying that the R35 Nissan GT-R is an aging beast. One that, should you ask for our two cents, has aged exquisitely. So those familiar with the brand’s heritage will undoubtedly like this: TAG Heuer is bringing back the Autavia with a classy interpretation illustrated by a collection that comprises five watches.

Jacob & Co. has just launched another jaw-dropping wristwatch that blends together art, modern tech, and old-school watchmaking. Come to think of it, you’ll need two jaws for Jacob & Co.’s latest chef d’oeuvre: one for when you see it and the second for when you learn its price tag. According to HypeBeast, the watch will wear a price tag of $380,000.
