Second Indian Tattoo Chief Revealed

Indian Motorcycles has revealed the second of three tattooed Indian Chief bikes ahead of a VIP event in London in Spring 2022. This bike, by Japanese artist Shige will join two others by Mayonaize and Carlos Torres respectively and a fourth bike whose design will have been voted for from 40 designs by renowned tattoo artists. The winner gets an all-expenses trip to the UK for a two-day tattoo session worth 5,000 Pounds.

A NASA Engineer won Indian’s Scout Bobber Build Off contest

A Far-out Scout Bobber by Alfredo Juarez

Earlier this month, the Springfield manufacturer unveiled the builds of the “The Wrench: Scout Bobber Build Off” contest at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2018. After three months and 100 or so submissions, 12 semi-finalists were showcased online for a fan vote to determine the final three finalists. These three builders got a full paid trip to Minneapolis for an unveiling party of their customized Scout Bobbers at Sturgis.

Of the three, Alfredo (Fred) Juarez, a NASA engineer from Las Cruces won the grand prize and held the coveted “The Wrench” title along with a feature story in Hot Bike magazine on his custom Indian Scout Bobber.

Indian showcases "The Wrench" finalists at the Sturgis show

Winner gets $10K and their build featured in a magazine

Adding itself to this latest trend of the factory customization war, Indian Motorcycles called for non-pro builders to customize the Scout Bobber. Indian teamed up with Hot Bike magazine for “The Wrench: Scout Bobber Build Off” contest that began on March 15th, 2018. The top three designs were then awarded a new 2018 Scout Bobber to customize along with $10,000 for the build.

The Springfield company has finally unveiled the builds at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2018 after three months and they include builds from a NASA engineer from Las Cruces, NM, an OSHA safety inspector from Avon, OH, and a mechanical engineer from Buffalo, NY. Valerie Thompson set to beat the motorcycle land-speed record

The world’s fastest female motorcycle racer to go above the 376.363 mph record

To be referred to as “America’s Queen of Speed” is a feat that might require a lifetime of sweat and blood. But even after achieving a land-speed record for seven times in her lifetime already, Valerie Thompson doesn’t seem to pull back on the throttle anytime soon. She and her All American Team "7" Racing crew are traveling to Australia to break the all-time land-speed record of 376.363 mph.

The planet’s fastest female motorcycle racer will travel 8,500 miles from her hometown in Scottsdale, Arizona, all the way to Southern Australia with the BUB Seven Streamliner and her crew. They will attempt to break the land-speed record at the World Speed Trials at the 28th Annual Speed Week which is a new motorcycle-only event regulated by the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and the AMA.

After nearly three months of building and a month of online voting, the Harley-Davidson Battle of the Kings (BOK) has finally culminated with picking the UK&Ireland winner out of the five finalists that were shortlisted earlier this month.

The Alley Rat, built by Syc Kustoms, the custom side of Sycamore Harley-Davidson of the UK got the best credits by the judges at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show. The Alley Rat will now go head to head with the finalists from other regions at a Grand Final to take place at Milan’s EICMA exhibition in November 2018 where the “Custom King” will be crowned.

Unearthing shipwrecks is a pretty fascinating trade to always be in the hunt find some genuinely beguiling treasury, historical artifacts, clues to mysteries, and millions of ancient relics just like these World War II-era Norton 16H motorcycles found under the greatest shipwrecks in one of the most famous dive sites in the world.

This photo captured by Tobias Friedrich, a professional photographer from 2007, won the prestigious Underwater Photographer of the Year 2018 award at UPY London. Dozens of Nortons were found in their Watery Grave in a famous shipwreck of the British World War II SS Thistlegorm near the Sinai Peninsula of the Red Sea. The photo has been titled as the “Cycle War”.
