Bollywood Motorcycle Advertising From the Mid-2000 Were Over The Top

Bollywood Motorcycle Advertising From the Mid-2000 Were Over The Top

This one has to be a contender for the worst or best motorcycle ads ever...

There have been many brilliant motorcycle adverts over the years, but there have also been some howlers and this one for Pulsar Motorcycles in India has to be in line for the worst of all time. Not content with a terrible story line, it then overlays the sound of v-twins and in-line-fours onto what is clearly a weedy single-cylinder.

Curtiss Motorcycle's "Hades" gets a matured re-take on its design

Curtiss Motorcycle’s "Hades" gets a matured re-take on its design

A modest redo before heading to production for Spring 2020

After being rebranded as “Curtiss Motorcycle Co.,” the firm went head-on with making full-blown exquisite electric-powered motorcycles. They showcased the "Zeus" concept a couple of years back, and most recently, the “Hades” concept came out with an unusual and wild, phallic induced design form.

Honestly, this created hilarious responses within the industry scribes and the readers, taking us back to the grade school jokes and pranks. Fortunately, Curtiss has responded with subtle tweaks to give it a little modesty just before the Spring 2020 production slot. Phew!

Video: A kindergarten kid gets caught by cops for riding a mini-moto on a highway

The first time I rode solo on a motorcycle was when I was a teenager filled with bursts of zits all over my face. I remember the feeling when the bike did not stall and I shifted to second gear for the very first time. The feeling is too deep to explain.

This fellow here, however, has got it just at the age of five on a mini-moto. From Indonesia, Restu was intercepted by the surprised police when he was found riding a mini-motorcycle with a pillion around town on the highway.

When the industry lured us to fool us on April 1

When the industry lured us to fool us on April 1

Good morning and welcome to our April Fool’s Day round-up. It has already been two good days since we came under hoax news and stories from the motorcycle world playing practical jokes on us. Thanks to the close proximities of these pranks to the company’s products and impressions, they tricked us into believing their true existence.

Some were instantly rubbed off, while some seemed pretty convincing. Nonetheless, they all were pure April’s Fool pranks, and if you did not catch them all, we have got you covered. Participating in the Sunday’s jester were pranksters from BMW, Kawasaki, Triumph, Yamaha and a bunch of others including Lewis Hamilton.

Video: A biker who forgot to practice before preaching

“Practice what you preach.“

Looks like this biker really had no stars aligned for him that day. While he was teaching young blokes in a Beemer to “Watch yourself”, as a consequence for some mishap that had happened before the video began filming, the biker ended up “not watching himself” and rammed into a curb on the middle of a road.

This 20-second video teaches all of us an important lesson today. If you are about to throw warnings at people, be sure that you have the knack to tackle such warnings yourself.

Now, Check out this video for yourself:

Video: Travis Pastrana’s version of Gymkhana could be here

If the cars have Ken Block, we have Travis Pastrana. A professional motocross racer, 17-time X Games winner, world record distant jumper, and the list goes on. Having so many tags behind his name, Travis Pastrana is undoubtedly the crazies daredevil there is out there. He has already had 32 surgeries and is still earning to get onto his bike every single time.

With Ken Block’s Gymkhana series making everyone gasp, Travis Pastrana is doing pretty much the same but with two lesser number of wheels. One fine day, Travis and his crew decide to have a friendly scooter race through Cape Town, South Africa. Winner gets the glory, the loser has to walk the plank leading into the cold ocean.

Video: Bikers telling you drivers why you need to pay attention on the road

or else you might mow down Ryan Reynolds

“Hey driver, I know you are busy texting or watching a movie, or just busy getting a shut eye, but please watch for motorcyclists.”

Using Ryan Reynolds, that pretty smart. Who doesn’t love him? He is handsome, he is funny (go watch Deadpool if you want to know), he is charismatic and most important of all, he loves motorcycles just like all of us.

This video by the Tobacco Motorwear Company was released on the social media platform a few days ago and has been one of the best ones I’ve come across asking road users to pay attention while on the road.

Keanu Reeves goes motorcycle surfing for a Super Bowl Ad

Squarespace teams up with Arch Motorcycles for a multi-ad campaign

Squarespace, in its 14 years of existence, has become one of the biggest website manufacturing platform today. Most of its success, of course, goes to their quirky and easy templates, but their sensational marketing and weird advertising campaigns which previously included high-profile actors like Jeff Bridges and John Malkovich gave them the millions of users using its services today.

In their new adventure, Squarespace ran a 30-second commercial worth a whopping $5 million during the recently concluded high-profile Superbowl championship with one of its high-profile customer, Keanu Reeves, and his Arch Motorcycles.

Can this 101 year old grandpa pass the riding assessment?

Can this 101 year old grandpa pass the riding assessment?

This is all about the self-spirit attitude this grandpa flaunts.

On a general conscience, we know that it is just not possible for old folks to commute riding or driving themselves, especially in the metros. The chaos and pollution are alone enough to tire them up. And with people losing patience more often these days, it can get quite intimidating for them to use the same roads.

But it’s an all-together different case in the European continent where the traffic is minimal, roads and the air are clean and not filled with potholes. That said, not often will you find a three digit aged person riding or driving.

Video: Roland Sands Design Releases Hilarious Promotional Video

Video: Roland Sands Design Releases Hilarious Promotional Video

Roland Sands Design has a reputation for being one of the best custom bike builders in the business. A mere mention of the company’s name immediately evokes memories of some of its finest works, including the Kiedis Roadglide, Ameri-Tracker, Fat Tire 48, El Zarape, and a host of others that you can quickly identify as the work of RSD.

In addition to being quite the custom bike builder, Roland Sands Design is also pretty adept at tooting its own horn. That’s not necessarily a bad thing for a brand that prides itself on having a cult following from legions of its fans who swear by the company’s custom bike skills. Was it really a surprise, then, to wake up one day and find yourselves in the company of a hilarious promotional video from RSD? Oh, that’s a rhetorical question because everybody already knows what the answer is.

In any case, this RSD-produced video is balls-to-the-wall hilarious. Somehow, Roland Sands Design was able to combine all the elements you want to see in a motorcycle video into a five-minute, music video of sorts. You can watch the video and check out all the intense custom bikes the shop has produced, or you can do that while listening to the hilarious song and narration dedicated to every spectacular custom bike project Roland Sands Design has built, or at least the ones that it’s unabashedly proud of.

I highly recommend everyone to check out the video. Watch or listen, it doesn’t matter. Roland Sands Design wins either way.

Video: Pegasus Commercial from Bangladesh Is So Corny It's Funny

Video: Pegasus Commercial from Bangladesh Is So Corny It’s Funny

Have you ever had one of those moments when you’re just that desperate for a laugh? Well, today’s your lucky day because I have here a commercial from Bangladesh promoting local bike maker Pegasus. The commercial is admittedly a few months old and I’ve seen it more times than I can care to count. But really, every time I watch it is another reason for me to laugh. It never gets old!

The Bollywood-style action sequence is very Matrix-like, except that our protagonist here appears to be more imposing than Neo. He rides his Pegasus like a steely stallion as he attempts to save a young girl from the clutches of her kidnappers, who by the way, found it convenient to do the “exchange in well-lit parking lot with presumably a lot of CCTV cameras. Way to go there, sir!

But the action heats up when our hero emerges, throws his helmet on one of the baddies, and proceeds to engage in a shootout with the rest of the kidnapper’s goons.

Unfortunately, the collective artillery of said goons was no match for the hero’s Liam Neeson-style histrionics. He ends up killing off the baddies one by one before putting a bullet on the main antagonist and driving off, young girl in hand, as the background is engulfed by flames.

Like I said, the ad is so corny and/or cheesy that it actually becomes funny. Check it out and have a good laugh yourselves.

Video: SuMo Goes Airborne, Clears Five Bikes; Cruiser Hilariously Tries Same Stunt

Video: SuMo Goes Airborne, Clears Five Bikes; Cruiser Hilariously Tries Same Stunt

There’s a reason why super motocross bikes, colloquially referred to as supermotos or “SuMos” are built the way they are. They’re light, fast, and agile, capable of wheelies, burnouts, and of course, airborne jumps. These bikes are arguably the most fun you can have on two wheels, that is if you have the stomach to perform all the aforementioned stunts to enjoy the bike’s capabilities to their fullest.

On the flip side, cruisers are much heavier for a reason. They’re developed with the idea of joyrides in mind, long treks out on the open road with bikes that are powerful enough to last a distance. Cruisers can’t do what supermotos can and SuMos can’t do what cruisers can. It’s simple logic, right?

Well, this video proves that just because you can’t do it, doesn’t mean you can’t try.

The clip starts pretty incredibly with a Swedish SM rider performing an airborne trick with his supermoto bike. Gather some momentum, hit a ramp, and catch some air. It’s a sweet stunt made more impressive by the fact that the rider easily cleared five bikes and could have potentially cleared a few more in the process. Impressive stuff.

But then the video takes a turn to the hilarious when another rider attempts to try the same trick while riding a cruiser. The results, as you can imagine, are to be expected.

But it’s still funny to watch, if only to see the feeble clearance the cruiser accomplished attempting the said stunt.
