Drag races are particularly interesting when they are between two very different cars. With this in mind, Sam CarLegion gives us another drag race between two very different Toyota products. On one side, we have the light and nimble Toyota GR Supra, while on the other, a Lexus RC-F that can best be described as a Japanese muscle car. Both cars send power to the rear axle, but that’s about all they have in common.

Toyota and Lexus recently unveiled 16 upcoming electric vehicles (EVs), and this includes the RZ. As a reminder, the Lexus RZ is not the company’s first EV. That would be the UX 300e, but this will be the first Lexus model to ride on a dedicated EV platform,

Toyota recently announced an $18-billion investment towards electrification that showed the automaker’s commitment to the future. This even includes Lexus, which will be completely electrified by the end of this decade. A myriad of Toyota and Lexus concepts were also revealed – 16 to be precise – but there was one that caught our attention the most. This was the ‘Lexus Electrified Sport’, an electric supercar that could carry forward the legacy of the iconic LFA.

Since its earlier production days, the LC 500 has been the most gorgeous Lexus coupe available and has remained strangely similar to the concept it is based on. Since then, not much has changed, and now for the 2022 model year, Lexus is offering a custom build for both the LC 500 and LC 500h that will allow you to customize your unique LC 500.

As Lexus’s flagship luxury sedan, the LS 500 brings a host of features to the table while costing considerably less than the S-Class and 7 Series. For the 2022 model year, it stayed the same physically but Lexus has added the Safety System + 2.5 as standard along with the Mark Levinson sound system as an option to the base trim. So, will it satiate your thirst for luxury and the feeling of being in an executive sedan?

Lexus UK added a new special edition to its RX lineup. Called RX Premium Sport Edition will be offered for both the five-seat RX and the RX L in six or seven-seat form and will be priced at £57,165 for the RX model, £59,105 for the six-seat RX L and £57,855 for the seven-seat RX L.

The new LX 600 F SPORT will probably steal the show at the 2021 SEMA, but it won’t be the only model you will be able to admire at Lexus’ boot. A very cool IS 500 developed by Hiraku Co. and Lexus ambassador, Townsend Bell will try to make people remember the IS still has some potential.

The SEMA show in Las Vegas is a haven for the automotive aftermarket community and industry. Unfortunately, it was canceled in 2020 for obvious reasons, but it is back for 2021, and Toyo Tires will have some wild cars features in their Treadpass exhibit.

Americans have a soft spot for the Lexus LX, thanks to its genuine off-road capability and bulletproof reliability while still offering a high degree of luxury. The all-new 2022 Lexus LX 600 carries on that tradition whilst also debuting a number of firsts for the Lexus brand.

Lexus is not at its first "Inspiration" special edition. In fact, it first launched a concept car called LC500 Inspiration Concept back in 2018, and the production version arrived just one year later.

Now, its’ time for a new "Inspiration" model, but this time is the "Black Inspiration." It will be offered for both the full hybrid electric LC 500h and the V8-powered LC 500 and will go on sale in the UK on November 1st.

Toyota decided to pull the plug on the Land Cruiser in the U.S. to the dismay of a lot of people. However, it looks like the auto group had bigger plans for the SUV. The SUV has a loyal fan following, but it was a little rough for the asking price. So, while the Land Cruiser has retired, it will be sold Stateside in the form of the Lexus LX 600 – an SUV with better creature comforts, but with the DNA of the rugged Land Cruiser. The LX 600 is, in its essence, a suited-up Land Cruiser 300 It comes with a whole lot of tech features on the inside, and even sporty and luxurious trims to cater to all types of customers in the segment.

It took a lot of us by surprise when Land Cruiser decided not to bring the new Land Cruiser 300 to the U.S. The beast wasn’t moving in numbers that would justify it being alive here. However, the Toyota Group has decided to replace it with the new Lexus LX600 SUV instead and will be arriving Stateside. The company released a teaser last week announcing that the LX 600 will debut on October 13 at 12:30 p.m. ET, and here’s the live stream for you to watch

While Toyota has been trying to make Hydrogen power more relevant for years now with the Mirai, they are not giving up on the more traditional form of hybrids. Their luxury brand, Lexus, has just dropped the new NX crossover, and it is the first plug-in hybrid for the Japanese luxury brand.

The Lexus LFA needs no introduction. It was in production for two years and the company made 500 examples in total. For some reason, Lexus wasn’t able to sell all the 500 examples. As of the end of 2020, there was still one LFA unsold! But, that doesn’t mean the car doesn’t have a demand. An LFA with 7,000 miles on the odo recently hit the Bring-a-Trailer auction and it has already attracted the highest bid of $650,000! It could receive higher bids since there are three more days at the time of writing this article.

The Lexus has recieved a few necessary updates, and now it is ready to compete well with the German mid-size luxury sedans like the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, and Mercedes-Benz E Class. The welcome additions are worth the $40,800 price tag, and it is still a bargain compared to some of the German competition.

The IS family already has a 5.0-liter V-8 stuffed into the regular 500, which turned out to be a fire-breathing performer. But the missing F Sport Performance makes its way to the U.S. market and will sport the same V-8 engine but will be sportier, feature better luxury, and will be priced at $56,500 for the base trim.

Can Lexus’ latest attempt at a sports sedan truly out-shine the stuffy Germans at BMW, Audi, and Mercedes? Quite possibly, but let’s just say this is not a case of "buy the Lexus because you cannot afford the BMW." This is about a V-8 Lexus Sedan than could create some headaches in a few German HQs.

Lexus firstly introduced the RC F Fuji Edition for the first time in 2021 and now, for the 2022 model year, it is making a comeback. In 2021, Lexus built only 60 units, and production will be even more exclusive for the 2022 model year: only 50 units will be built.

The Toyota Yaris Cross, basically a high-riding hatchback with crossover ambitions, is one of Toyota’s newest vehicles and the company’s only subcompact crossover. Now, it looks like Toyota is going to share that love with Lexus, however, this news might not be a big deal if you live in the United States. The Tiny Lexus will share market designations with the Yaris Cross, which is currently only available in Europe, Japan, and Australia. According to the report, the Lexus crossover will be powered by the same 1.5-liter, hybrid, three-cylinder that powers the Yaris Cross. In that model, it’s good for anywhere between 90 and 118 horsepower with the electric motor – either 3.9 kW or 59 kW – adding from 5.2 to 79 horsepower into the mix.

It’s not likely that Lexus will simply rebadge the Yaris Cross, so expect the typical Lexus front end, nice interior materials, and – perhaps – a small increase in power output, at least for the higher trim levels. For the record, it would slot below the Lexus UX, which means that the trademark filing for “LBX” and “Lexus LBX” could have been hinting at its name. That said, the LBX is largely considered to be a concept, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens with that. Another rumor claims the sub-UX crossover would be called the Lexus BX, it would arrive in 2023, and would sit somewhere below the $30,000 mark. That sounds a little more like it to us, but we’ll have to see what happens.

Lexus is growing its exclusive Black Line series with the new RXL Black Line for the 2022 model year. This new special and limited-run edition will be based on the RX 350L or RX 450L, with the former being limited to 389 examples and the latter being produced in just 106 examples. The main highlight is, arguably, the new Cloudburst Gray or the optional Eminent White Pearl, however, it’s the black accents outside that really tie the package together. The 20-inch black wheels are the most notable, however, the wheel lug nots, radiator grille, outer portion of the mirrors, badging, and lower front bumper are all finished in black. When paired with the standard Cloudburst Gray, the RXL looks downright menacing while the Eminent While Pearl exterior finish makes for an awesome two-tone contrast that really draws attention.

On the inside, there’s a decent helping of open-pore wood trim, while te Nu-Luxe seats are upholstered in black with blue contrast stitching. That same blue stitching also ties together the dash pad, shift boot, and steering wheel. Since the Black Line is a purely aesthetic package, the RXL 350 delivers 290 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque from a 3.5-liter V-6 while the hybrid model dishes out 308 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque from the same engine paired with an electric motor. Pricing for the RX 350L Black Line comes in at $52,030 while the RX 450 HL Black Line commands $55,290.
