Porsche

Porsche is known as the purveyor of rear-engined sports cars and GTs but, in the past two decades, it has greatly extended its business and, now, the backbone of Weissach’s lineup is made up of SUVs like the Macan and the Cayenne and the ultra-luxurious sedan that is the Panamera. Of course, there will always be more fans of the mythical 911 that’s been in production since the mid-’60s but two-door cars are hardly the bread and the butter of the company nowadays, although they will always remain the stars as Porsche’s motorsports-bred DNA is embedded in each and every model that leaves Stuttgart.

Porsche Just Expanded the Taycan Lineup with the new Taycan GTS and Sport Turismo

The Taycan lineup is growing so fast that it could almost be its own sub-brand

The Taycan has been Porsche’s best-selling non-SUV so far in 2021, so it was no surprise when Porsche ushered in some pretty decent improvements for the 2020 model year, nor was it a surprise when the brand launched the off-road focused Taycan Cross Turismo. It’s pretty obvious that Porsche is dead set on expanding the Taycan into what could almost be its own standalone brand, with rumors indicating that we could even see a Taycan Coupe, Turismo, or road-focused Sport Turismo wagon. Well, as it turns out, Porsche showed up to the L.A. Auto Show with not one but two new Taycans – the aforementioned Taycan Sport Turismo and the new Taycan GTS. The Porsche IPO Isn’t happening Just Yet

Porsche’s IPO plans have been put on the back burner for now, however, should it be offered in the future, the German Marques valuation might exceed that of its parent VW

If there’s one brand that’s catapulted EV ambitions within the Volkswagen Group, it has to be Porsche. While Audi may have been the first to bring their e-Tron to market, it wasn’t until the Taycan came along that several brands within the VW Group started making the shift to electric mobility.

The Porsche 718 Cayman EV Won’t Lose That Mid-Engine Driving Dynamic

Porsche is, quite literally, setting the standard for electric sports cars

When Porsche revealed the electric Mission R Concept, it was billed as a preview of a one-maker racer, but it also previewed – to a small extent – what we can expect from the upcoming electric Porsche 718. In fact, the Mission R Concept was based on a highly modified version of the current 718’s chassis and even featured similar dimensions to the current road-going sports cars. And it’s because of this car that the next-gen electric 718 Cayman and Boxster will set the standard for how a modern sports car can transition into electrification without losing what matters the most – its driving dynamic.

Can The Taycan Turbo S Pull A Win Over The Unconquerable 911 Turbo S?

If history suggests anything, then the EV should win this race; but will the 911 Turbo S bow down so easily?

When EVs take on internal combustion engines, they win almost always. So, how does the Taycan, in the top-spec Turbo S trim, perform against one of the best internal combustion-engined cars on the drag strip, the Porsche 911 Turbo S? Let’s find out.
