In what is a quintessential thing that Lamborghini would do, the creators of blood-pressure raising supercars is dipping into more paint colors to entice would-be buyers. The new collection of colors is called the Fluo Capsule, and it’s made up of fluorescent, matte-finish colors with matching interiors.

The Fluo Capsule is available for 2021 model-year Lamborghini Huracan Evos.

The Lamborghini Urus is not your standard SUV so it’s not beholden to standard industry practices. That’s the case when it comes to choosing tires for the Lambo SUV. Whereas most tire makers prepare up to around two to three tire options for the standard SUVs, Pirelli doubled that number to six different tire options for the Urus to account for the SUV’s performance capabilities.

Valentino Balboni earned his status in life for being Lamborghini’s go-to test driver for the better part of 40 years. The legendary test driver has since retired from his day job, but it’s evident that his love for all things raging bull has yet to subside. That was made clear time and again, and it’s being reinforced today with the launch of his new tuning company, which will simply be called “VB.”

Like some of the world’s most famous aftermarket firms, VB will cater exclusively to tuning parts for Lamborghini, and while details are still unclear on what kind of projects VB will undertake in the future, it is kicking off its birth with its first creation: a super exclusive, ultra lightweight titanium exhaust that was created specifically for the Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce.

If a picture paints a thousand words, the image of the new exhausts flanking Valentino Balboni looks downright amazing. Each exhaust is hand-made, weighs just 13.8 pounds, and promises “a new dimension in sound.” It’s also made from Grade 2 titanium and the whole process of creating the whole thing takes up to 350 hours, underscoring the kind of attention-to-detail that Balboni was famous for in his time as Lamborghini’s test driver.

The only downside to the product is that VB will only make 30 units of the exhaust with all units available only to the 600-unit Aventador SuperVeloce, a car that not surprisingly sold out a long time ago. Details on the price are still unknown at this point, but expect more information about the new company to come out when VB officially launches the ultra-light titanium exhaust at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 20, 2016.

In the meantime, we can start imagining the possibilities of what VB is capable of when it begins doing complete tuning programs for Lamborghini supercars. Considering the wealth of knowledge Valentino Balboni has of the things that go on in Sant’Agata Bolognese, VB could turn into the preeminent tuner of all things Lamborghini.

Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalization program is getting its very own space inside the Italian automaker’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The new studio will be dedicated strictly to Lambo’s Ad Personam program and will exclusively cater to the company’s customer base. Prospective owners will be given the unique experience of getting a guided tour of the facility before they get to the business of calling the shots on how they want their Lamborghinis to be customized.

This isn’t something overly different from what Lamborghini has been doing since it kicked off the Ad Personam program back in 2006. It’s just now the program will have its own dedicated space where customers can choose from a wide range of personalized options available for both the Huracán and the Aventador. The new studio features displays on all the options available, including the body color, the choice of leather, seat, and trim options – and of course Lamborghini’s very own forged composite carbon fiber material that the automaker is offering exclusive on the Aventador.

Considering that more than half of cars it sold in 2016 passed through the Ad Personam customization program, the opening of this new studio will serve prospective Lamborghini owners well as they try to put personalized touches on their new supercars.

For everyone who liked the one-off Aventador J and can’t wait for the limited production version of the Sesto Elemento, here’s something else to chew on: Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has confirmed that there are more bespoke models in the pipe line, as well as more personalization options for the current Gallardo and Aventador supercars.

A Lamborghini spokesman has announced that these upcoming bespoke models will be built at the company’s new prototype and concept development center that opened in Sant’Agata, Italy. This new development center has been divided in two: one half will be responsible for the development of a small-scale production line and the other half for building limited production cars.

He also confirmed that the company’s new Ad Personam personalization program will add lots of new colors, interior trim materials, and other upgrades. These advancements in style will not come cheap, but it will more than likely be a small price to pay for this kind of exclusivity.

It is known that when Ferrari introduces the future F70, it will be a hybrid supercar, so we would have expected to see a similar move from Lamborghini. That being said, in a recent interview at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann ruled-out the possibility of a plug-in hybrid option for both the Aventador and the Gallardo.

"There is no plug-in hybrid planned for the either the Lamborghini Gallardo or Aventador. Due to the size of the cars and due to the weight of the hybridisation it would be impossible for our cars to adopt this current technology. Firstly, it won’t fit, and secondly, it would reduce the their power-to-weight ratios by too much."

Instead, the Aventador will be offered with two emissions reducing systems – stop-start technology and cylinder deactivation. For the near future, Lamborghini is looking for more solutions to reduce weight and increase power during the lifecycle of each car. Carbon fiber will of course be the main material used to obtain the weight reduction. Also, by 2015, Lamborghini hopes to reduce CO2 emissions by 35%.

The really good news from this interview is that Winkelmann confirmed that the company has "lots of plans for the Aventador."

While most of us were hoping that Lamborghini would offer the roadster version of their latest Aventador supercar in March at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the company decided against it and extended the anticipation even longer. Now, Italian magazine Quattroruote, has offered a few more details on the upcoming Aventador LP700-4 Spyder.

According to the magazine, the new Aventador Spyder will feature a removable, solid roof and not a soft-top roof like the Murcielago Roadster. The retractable hard top should detach into two sections, separated in a transverse direction. It will be made ​​of carbon fiber just like most of the other body components. This material will keep the weight of the car down and make the roof easier to maneuver. The magazine also reports that the Spyder version will feature an increased number of carbon fiber applications.

Expect to see the launch of the new Lamborghini Aventador Spyder in the coming months.

You know how some people have eclectic tastes when it comes to colors? Well, this video will show you somebody who seemed to think that a combination of a matte black exterior paint finish and a pink interior was a good idea.

But just like anybody that has enough money to buy an Italian supercar like the Lamborghini Gallardo, they can pretty much do whatever they want with it - even if the interior does pose a little bit of an eyesore for us.

At the end of the day, all the fancy colors and what-have-yous are all irrelevant compared to what’s truly important on a Gallardo: the guttural noise of that 6.5-liter V10 engine that produces in excess of 650 horsepower.

Check out the video and see if you’re digging the matte black-and-pink color combination. Some folks might like it, while others might cringe. But hey, at least it’s going to get some serious attention wherever it goes, right?

When initial rumors about the next Lamborghini Gallardo, or Cabrera as it is supposed to be named, surfaced online, it was reported to carry a turbocharged engine with an output of about 600 HP. Unfortunately, this is not the case. In a recent interview, Lamborghini boss, Stephan Winkelmann, stated that it was unlikely that the company would turn to turbocharging this decade, but that it may happen at some point.

"For this decade, I don’t see it happening in the super sport car business – although I would also caution against saying it could never happen. The future can take its own path when fuel regulations are involved. All I will say is that any development along those lines must be consistent with the DNA of Lamborghini."

On that same token, Audi - who shares the Gallardo platform with the R8 sports car - has stated that a turbocharged engine option might appear by the end of the decade. Will Lamborghini allow Audi to throw the first punch when their car wouldn’t exist without the Gallardo platform? Guess we’ll find out when the Cabrera makes its world debut in two years.

No matter how many or few accessories the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 has, it’s bound to steal some attention at shows like SEMA. One in particular, that was displayed at the Giovanni booth, was quite a hit with the audience, even if the modifications done on it were limited to a new set of Giovanna’s GFG forged modular wheels.

Everything else about the new Lamborghini supercar remained the same, which really isn’t a problem, especially when you consider that the supercar comes with a throaty 6.5-liter V12 engine pushing out 700 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 509 lb/ft of torque at 5,500 rpm.

Giovanna has always been a big presence at SEMA and this year was no different. The mighty Aventador was only one of a few supercars that were fitted with the company’s new wheels with the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Bentley Continental GT, the Mercedes SLS AMG, and the Rolls-Royce Ghost among the other exotics on display at Giovanna’s booth, each bearing a distinguished set of the company’s GFG forged modular wheels.

Last year, Lamborghini began talks about dropping their manual transmission in favor of a fully automatic line. This idea was christened in the Lamborghini Aventador and its new ISR transmission, and will live on in all of the brand’s future supercars. According to the company, every single one of their supercars will now carry a fully automated seven-speed single-clutch transmission. It may seem as if Lamborghini is tucking its tail - among other things - in between its legs, but Maurizio Reggiani, Lamborghini’s R&D director, suggests the change actually makes sense for the brand’s customer base and will improve the car’s performance.

According to Reggiani, just 1 to 2 percent of the cars being produced out of their Sant’Agata Bolognese factory are equipped with three pedals. He adds that a manual transmission is "a break in the electronic chain of command that harmonizes absolutely everything that happens between engine combustion chamber and tire contact patch. The only way Lamborghini can guarantee soothing smoothness in city driving or back-thumpingly explosive acceleration on a winding road is for every system in the car to be interconnected. You can’t rely on a driver to always shift gears without glitches."

Back in October, news broke that two pioneering companies from vastly different industries, Lamborghini and Callaway, collaborated to develop forged composite, the lightest yet strongest material that both companies have ever used.

Fast forward to today and the results for both companies are no less inspiring as they are beautiful. Already used on the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept, forged composite is a lighter, stronger, and more precise version of both traditional woven carbon fiber or titanium. The material is said to be comprise more than 500,000 intertwined turbostatic fibers per inch that allow it to have a higher threshold for withstanding extreme conditions, something Lamborghini and Callaway are used to.

In the case of the latter, forged composite was used to develop their latest - and most technologically innovative - product yet: the Razr Hawk. Aggressively designed and polished in shape, form, and texture, the Razr Hawk offers an improved overall performance - its lighter, stronger, and more powerful.

Tests have even showed that the Razr Hawk can hit a tee shot of up to six yards longer than what a standard R11 is capable. Six yards may not look all that impressive, but in the world of golf where every inch matters, it could spell the difference between a contender and a pretender.

What happens when people want a car so bad, but don’t have enough money to buy it? Well, they start building replicas. Sometimes these things go well, but most of the time they go horribly, horribly wrong. This Lamborghini Reventon is probably one of the more severe cases of instances when the result is one of the ugliest and most unsuccessful builds to date.

There’s a man over in China that drives an old Nissan A31, but his dream car has always been a Lamborghini Reventon. He eye-balled his Nissan and found ways to convert his daily driver into his version of a Reventon. We say his version because there was no way his $13,800 and his homemade parts could ever match the precision and quality of a true $2.3 million Lamborghini.

He started by buying a scale model of a Reventon and day by day, his 1995 Nissan A31 took on some replica parts and some homemade parts resembling the pieces from one of the most exclusive cars on Earth. He dropped in a Lamborghini RB25 engine and 12 days later, had himself what he calls his Lamborghini Reventon.

It’s sad. It’s just so sad.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is the most successful model in the Italian’s company line-up, but it never hurts to get a couple of things changed here and there to make them stand out from all of the rest. Euro Koncepts has taken care of that little detail with an LP 570-4 Spyder Performante front bumper that gives the 2004-2008 model year Gallardos - including Superleggeras - a look that warrants a double take.

The front bumper was made by Renown Autostyle and fits in perfectly on the Gallardo. It comes with a real carbon fiber bottom and is priced at $3,700, including the grills. Installing the new bumper can take up to two and a half weeks.

Aside from the sharper front end look provided for the Gallardo, Euro Koncepts is also offering muffler bypass pipes by FABSPEED ($980), a carbon fiber map light ($599), a carbon fiber E-brake and surround ($999), a CarbonTek Gallardo Superleggera carbon fiber spolier ($3450), a Gallardo carbon fiber air box intake kit with silicone hoses ($1350), and a Gallardo carbon fiber steering wheel ($1390).

SR Automotive Group has been known for creating unique and stylish rides for those that already drive some of the best cars on the planet. The owner and founder of SR Auto Group, Tony Yuen, wanted to create a unique experience when it comes to tuning high-end luxury cars. The SR in the name stands for “Style and Refinement” which the company has been able to stick with throughout the years.

The cars that end up coming from this Vancouver based shop are modified tastefully and express each individual’s personality. One of their most recent projects was to create the ultimate Lamborghini Gallardo LP560, nicknamed “Erebos.” The LP560 is the entry level model of the Gallardo, but its 5.2-liter V10 still creates 560 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 398 ft-lbs of torque at 6,500 rpm.

Tuning something that is already a precision machine can be a tricky business and therefore SR Auto is very careful to not change the overall dynamics of the Gallardo. Most customers do not tend to ask for dramatic power increases in a car like this and so on the performance side SR has added an exhaust system. Including several aerodynamic pieces and a set of beautiful wheels were enough to change this “mild” Gallardo into one of the cleanest looking aftermarket examples we have ever seen.

Grigio Antares is usually a color reserved for the Murcielago, but over in San Diego, California, Symbolic Motor Car Company has just sold a 2009 Gallardo LP560-4 dressed to the nines in this unique color. The car looks sensational and even comes equipped with passport radar, tinted tail lights, tinted side markers, and apparently much more not listed.

Forget the yellow or green exterior paint colors some choose for the Gallardo, this gray paint makes it look better than any other options Lamborghini may have to offer. Apparently the owner chose this color as a way to express his personality without disrupting Lamborghini’s design.

As a reminder, the Gallardo LP560-4 is powered by the new 5.2 liter V10 engine with an output of 560 PS (412 kW) at 8000 rpm. The increase of 40 PS compared with that of the previous Gallardo, and the approximate 20 kilogram reduction in weight, improves the power weight ratio to 2.5 kilograms per PS (hp) and thus enhances performance. The LP560-4 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and can hit a top speed of 201 mph.

A few months ago, Lamborghini and Callaway Golf announced a partnership to co-develop a new material called Forged Composite.

The material, which is comprised of turbostatic carbon fibers, is expected to be much stronger and more technologically advanced than metal alloys that are generally used in the automotive and golf industries today.

Recently, the two companies went to the Sandown Racecourse to give the Forged Composite material a little test to see how it can revolutionize future Lamborghini supercars as well as Callaway golf clubs. In this video, renowned professional golfer and Callaway endorser Stuart Appelby tested the brand’s new Diablo Octane driver with the Forged Composite material against – what else – a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4. The challenge here is whether Appleby can hit a golf ball with the Diablo Octane driver faster than it takes the Gallardo to cross the finish line. As an added bonus, the Gallardo was given some time to accelerate before Appleby hit the golf ball, setting off a race between golf ball and supercar.

Twelve-cylinder motors are a part ofLamborghini’s history. There’s no four-cylinder wimpy stuff here, just pure power and a magical noise. Some of the models to pack the massive engine include the Diablo,Reventon, Espada and Murcielago.

Now, the company is revealing its newest engine that will likely be featured in Murcielago’s successor. The motor is a 6.5-liter V12 with 700 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 509 pound-feet of torque available at 5,500 rpm. It features four-valve cylinder heads that are made from aluminum-silicon alloy. The whole motor was built with weight saving in mind, as it’s only 235 kilograms.

That motor will be connected a new ISR transmission, also called Independent Shifting Rod transmission. This new gearbox uses dual shifting rods and it can change gears 50 percent faster than the comparable dual-clutch setup. This was also created to be lightweight, as it tips the scales at only 79 kilograms.
