GMC has unveiled the Canyon AT4 OVRLANDX concept at the Overland Expo Mountain West. As the name suggests, it is based on the Canyon’s off-road trim, the AT4. Overlanding is a niche that’s picking up pace quite rapidly and automakers are offering accessories for the same. The OVRLANDX concept is developed keeping this in mind and it comes with goodies that will make your camping experience even better. Also, it comes with a lot of off-road equipment, thus elevating the AT4 trim as a whole.

GM announced the reincarnation of the Hummer moniker in early 2020 as an EV, to much surprise. It was supposed to debut in May last year, but the pandemic threw a spanner in the works and it had to be pushed by a few months. In October, the super truck was finally revealed with a whole lot of information.

The Hummer EV boasts of specs that can throw the competition out of the water, but it comes with a starting sticker price of $80,000, which makes it a super-premium offering. So, is this mouth-watering product with an eye-watering price tag the ultimate truck that you need in your garage?

GMC Canyon has been around for quite some time now, and together with the Chevy Colorado, it is raking up respectable numbers for General Motors. The Canyon is positioned as a more premium and stylish version of the Colorado. Thanks to the growing competition, GMC has had to put its best foot forward to not let the newcomers like the Jeep Gladiator take a share of its pie.

To make sure of this, GMC has rejigged the 2021 Canyon’s lineup by making some big changes. For starters, the top-spec Denali trim has gotten all the more premium, while the All-Terrain trim is dropped in favor of the exciting new AT4 trim that is present on the big brother Sierra as well. Will these changes and additions be able to induce more sales for GMC?

When GMC unveiled the 2021 Canyon AT4 back in January, speculation started that a special edition model was already in the works. It probably took longer than GMC expected — blame the COVID-19 pandemic for that — but 10 months after the Canyon AT4’s arrival, the special edition model, dubbed the Off-Road Performance Edition, is finally here.

As expected, the Canyon AT4 Off-Road Performance Edition packs plenty of extra goodies, most of which are of the functional sort. There are visual upgrades, too, but this special edition truck is all about making sure that your travails on roads less travelled run smoothly and without any complications.

The long-awaited GMC Hummer EV has finally made it’s debut, and it comes to the party with a lot of noteworthy features and some pretty impressive performance. According to GMC, the new Hummer EV will be power by (and as expected) GM’s new Ultium batteries and the new Ultium Drive electronic motors. The Hummer will feature a total of three electric motors that, according to GMC, will deliver and impressive 1,000 horsepower and a “GM-estimated 11,500 pound-feet of torque.” It all reality, it’ll probably put close to 900 pound-feet to the ground, but we’ll leave that discussion for another time. GMC has offered up some pricing and trim information with the entry-level model commanding $79,995, but it comes with just two electric motors. It’ll be coined the “EV2” and will launch in spring of 2024. It will be preceded by the EV2x in 2023 (the lowest model that can do the CrabWalk) and the Hummer EV3X, which will be available in Fall of 2020 with a $99,995 price tag.

Earlier this year, Tuscany collaborated with Harley-Davidson to roll out a special edition GMC Sierra that was limited to just 250 examples. Around the same time, Hennessey had rolled out the GMC Sierra Denali Goliath 700. The truck came with 700 horses under the hood and transformed the simple Sierra into a magnificent beast. We’ve been seeing a lot of revived monikers lately, so why not add one more to the list? This one, however, is revived by an aftermarket company and not the automaker itself. We’re talking about the GMC Syclone that was launched almost three decades back but was way ahead of its time. Specialty Vehicles Engineering, an aftermarket company based out of New Jersey, brought the Syclone badge back last year, and now it is following up with the 2021 model.

The 2021 Syclone is based on the 2021 GMC Canyon.The highlight of the 2021 Syclone is that it has 300 horses more than its predecessor, the 2019 GMC Syclone. We’re talking about 750 horses in a compact truck with a variety of other upgrades and a moniker that set the path to change the course of how trucks are generally viewed. Need we say anything more?

When you hear the name “Hennessey” suffixed to any vehicle, you know it’s going to be a monster in all senses. The company has been transforming SUVs, sedans, and pickup trucks from nimble creatures into absolute beasts since the early ‘90s. Let’s say Hennessey drops massive amounts of gamma radiations into every vehicle to create Hulk versions of them.

The company already deals with the Raptor, Mustang, F-150, and GT, and will soon be adding the 2020 Bronco as well to its portfolio. The company even laid its hands on the Jeep Gladiator and plonked in a Hellcat engine to create a “Maximus” version that makes 1,000 horses. This time around, Hennessey has gotten hold of the GMC Sierra Denali.The power bumps are significant and it looks mighty big with the new raised stance. The company has moniker’d it the Goliath 700. It makes sense, doesn’t it?

The GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali by Rolling Big Power and Keaton Hoskins is a one-off truck that showcases custom features designed for disabled people. Unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show, this truck was created by Rolling Big Power, an industry leading manufacturer of aftermarket parts and Keaton “The Muscle” Hoskins from TV’s “Diesel Brothers.” It is based on the older, third-generation Sierra 3500HD Denali.

The truck was built for Jonathan Barber, who was involved in a coal-mining accident in 2017 that left him paralyzed from the chest down. Fitted with a 14-inch lift suspension, this bespoke Denali truck also features a gullwing door, hydraulic chair lift, and twist-handle controls for throttle and brakes, all designed to make life easier for its disabled driver. It’s fancy on the outside and practical on the inside, but it’s also special enough to draw a lot of onlookers at the SEMA Show or other truck-specific events. In other words, it’s a handicap-accessible show rig that we don’t get to see too often.

There’s no denying that the auto industry is witnessing a paradigm shift. Sedans are dying, EVs are taking over, etc. While this shakedown has affected almost all the segments, trucks have been left unaffected. Their sales are growing every year, and this has given a strong niche for after-market companies to capitalize on. One of them is Callaway, a company that rebuilds these trucks in Connecticut and California. Callaway has been building vehicles for brands like Mazda, Aston Martin, and GM, to name a few. One of the company’s creations has been the GMC Sierra. Callaway has worked on the GMC Sierra 1500 to make it an interesting truck. Are the changes merely cosmetic?

Performance pickup trucks seem to be the trend these days. There’s the Ram Rebel TRX and the Raptor, but this is not a new concept per se. The truck that needs to be credited for making us believe that these butch looking vehicles could actually go fast was the GMC Syclone. It debuted in the 90s and was fast enough to scare the holy hell out of anyone because there was nothing known as ’fast trucks’ back then. However, the truck did not succeed. But, seeing the demand and potential now, the GMC Syclone is all set to make a comeback. The 2019 GMC Syclone is a tribute to the original truck by Specialty Vehicle Engineering, and from what it’s worth, it sure looks exciting.

GMC has done wonders with the 2019 models of the Sierra. The time has come where it finally frees itself from the clutches of the Fords, and the Rams, and the Chevys, and creates its own identity. Sounds too dramatic, right? Well, that’s because the Sierra’s story has been nothing short of wonderous. A truck that played second fiddle to the Chevy Silverado has finally managed to put itself shoulder-to-shoulder with the competitors, and there seems to be no stopping it. After the revamped and the reloaded models, GMC has introduced a CarbonPro Edition for Sierra 1500 trims. Now, this is a big deal because carbon fiber is something that supercars and hypercars dress in. Will this be a unique selling proposition for Sierra moving forward?

GMC has always been the Robin to Chevy’s Batman. It has faithfully played the role of a wingman for quite some time, but now is its time to shine. The 2020 models of the GMC Sierra have been nothing short of a revelation. With revised, controversial exteriors, chrome walloped on the face, and new mills under the hood, the Sierra is set to take on the competition without being in the shadow of the Silverado. Can the well-equipped truck shine like a bright star this time around?

When we used to talk about pickup trucks a decade ago, the general notion was a barebone truck that only knows how to lift weights. It was also taken for granted that, since they are tough vehicles, even off-roading would be easy. But, like we all know, a pickup truck is not automatically qualified to explore untraveled or non-existent roads. Fast forward to 2019, and GMC has launched a truck called the GMC Sierra HD AT4 that is muscular, can travel off-road without showing its ’jungli-ness’, and has an interior that can put well-loaded sedans and SUVs to shame. We finally have a heavy duty version of the Sierra AT4, so let’s check it out, shall we?

GMC trucks are like the school students who don’t top the class, but they don’t fail either. They are never in the spotlight for good or bad reasons, with the exception of when the Sierra debuted with that new MultiPro tailgate. The GMC Sierra HD has been living in the shadow of its competition, the Silverado HD, and despite having a lot of things in common, it has never been able to trump the Chevy. However, it looks like the Sierra is trying to break those shackles with the 2020 model. The Sierra HD looks to have gotten rid of its flaws, and this time, it promises to be a well-packaged truck that can prove to be a serious threat to the competition.

Just like its predecessor, the Sierra Denali sits at the top of the GMC Sierra lineup, itself a more upscale version of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The fourth-generation pickup truck broke cover in March 2018, a few months after Chevrolet debuted the new-generation Silverado it is based on.

At the forefront of the premium pickup market since 1999, the GMC Sierra Denali steps into a new generation with redesigned everything. Larger and bolder, the truck benefits from new state-of-the-art technology, and a new transmission. It also boasts many industry-first features, including a carbon-fiber box, a multi-function tailgate, and a rear-view camera. Power continues to come from the familiar 5.3- and 6.2-liter V-8s, despite the fact that GMC just introduced a diesel V-6 option for the regular Sierra.

GMC has introduced the Sierra Elevation, a new trim level of the Sierra that will sit between the ALT and AT4 offering customers a rugged pickup with a shot of off-road chops to go with it. The Sierra Elevation will get a host of exclusive digs to complete its status, all of which are being included to infuse the pickup with a commanding look to go with natural truck capabilities and functionality that all Sierra pickups are known for.

The pickup truck war is hotter than it’s ever been in the U.S. right now. While Ford has an all-aluminum F-150, GM just launched a brand-new GMC Sierra with an industry-first carbon-fiber bed. Ram is also going strong with a fresh 1500 model. Attracting more and more customers into dealerships is not an easy task, and this is where special models and limited editions come in handy sometimes. With a brand new Sierra 1500 on its way to dealerships, GMC just unveiled a new model. It’s called the Sierra AT4 and combines enhanced off-road ability with extra standard features and more premium appointments.

Designed for the customer "who wants an elevated presence on the road and the capability to venture off life’s beaten path," the Sierra AT4 also marks the debut of a new trim that will be offered on every GMC model in the next two years. Whether specs will be similar, it remains to be seen, but all we know is that the Sierra AT4 rides higher than the standard pickup truck and comes with an extended list of standard features. But despite boasting more luxury and sitting higher above the ground, the AT4 isn’t GMC’s highly anticipated response to the Ford F-150 Raptor. General Motors first launched the GMC Sierra back in 1998, following it up with the upscale Denali trim level a few years later. Now, the latest 2019 model year is bringing with it a generational changeover, debuting in a live event in Detroit and broadcast on the Internet. Previewed in the range-topping Denali and SLT trim levels, the latest Sierra gets a variety of cool new features and technologies, including improved utility for the light-duty half-ton with a MultiPro tailgate and carbon fiber bed, plus new styling to help it stand out a bit more from its mechanically identical cousin, the Chevrolet Silverado.

About the best means of transportation on snow-covered mountain trails is a Snowcat – those machines that cross between a tank and snowmobile. The only problem is luxury or that vast lack thereof. Well, GMC now has an answer for this frigid conundrum. Meet the 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Mountain Concept.

This one-off monster is basically a Sierra 2500 with a ton of upgrades, but its foundation is familiar. The truck runs the new-for-2017 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel V-8 with a stump-pulling 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. The Alison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission and two-speed transfer case are responsible for shifting gears while five people can ride in the leather-lined crew cab. Naturally, GMC started the concept build with a Sierra Denali, meaning nearly every available feature and amenity comes standard. Oh, and of course heated seats and a heated steering wheel are included.
