The G-Class is one of the most iconic Mercedes-Benz models - there is no doubt about that. And for sure Brabus does the best work when it comes to updating Mercedes models. Launched back in 2013, the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 by Brabus made quite a sensation. But is it sensational enough for someone to actually think it is worth $1.1 million? At launch, it was priced from $430,000, so let that sink in.

Mercedes-Benz has a fairly rich experience in building vehicles that feel at home off road. No, I’m not about talking about the G-Class. The company has many other vehicles that are more suited to such trails, and the Unimog you see here is one of them. It is an all-terrain truck that the company has been building for many decades now. Mat Watson of Carwow and Mat Watson Cars recently took a ride in one of them at the company’s off-roading facility in Germany. Is this one of the best off-road trucks that are in production today?

Kahn Automobiles is back with another customized creation - this time it’s the Mercedes-Benz X-Class. The automaker’s pickup truck attempt wasn’t very successful, but mods like this make the truck look desirable.

The X-Class by Kahn Automobiles has been customized aesthetically and doesn’t receive any mechanical changes. The company claims that the ethos behind the truck is ‘catwalk chic’ (whatever that is), but the end result looks pretty neat.

Do you remember the Mercedes X-Class pickup truck? The Nissan Navara that Mercedes tried to sell as a premium pickup truck? Yeah, well the truck may have flopped horribly in the market, but Carlex Design has tried to make some work out of it.

The changes don’t scream Nissan anymore, so the build looks nice. Called the Exy Extreme+, its interior and exterior were given a revamp and it looks a little more acceptable than the standard Mercedes Navara, err... the standard Mercedes X-Class.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is the second most long-serving car in Daimler’s portfolio, outranked only by the tougher-than-a-tardigrade Unimog. For that reason alone, we believe that the X-Class pickup truck should have been based on the Geländewagen in the first place. Sadly, Mercedes-Benz went asking for help from Nissan.

Mansory is a premium aftermarket company that has designed some pretty good vehicles in the past. The cars that it has unveiled lately, however, seem to tell a different story. Check out the audacious Lamborghini Urus Venatus or the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Coastline to know what I mean. But, now, the company is back to working on its favorite vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

In 2019, Mansory worked on the Mercedes-AMG G63 to create a Star Trooper edition of the legendary SUV. The company has now created a pickup version of the same Star Trooper SUV with a few more touches. Did Brabus inspire them to do this? The Star Trooper has been designed by Mansory in collaboration with Phillip Plein.

Mercedes had a great idea when it decided to enter the pickup truck market. After all, pickup trucks are booming these days and there’s certainly money to be made. However, the worst decision it ever made was to “partner” with Nissan to build the X-Class. Well, by partner, I mean to rebadge the Nissan Navara (also known as the Frontier here in the U.S.) and try to pass it off as a Mercedes. Of course, here in the U.S. we know better, so Mercedes chose not to bring it to the U.S. market. Apparently, it didn’t win folks over in Europe, either, as it’s going out of production after just three years on the market.

Its been only two years since Mercedes-Benz launched its first-ever production pickup truck, the X-Class, and the German firm is reportedly looking to axe the nameplate due to slow sales and a shift in strategy. According to a new report, Mercedes wants to reduce costs and optimize profits, and the X-Class is on a list of vehicles that will be dropped from the lineup soon.

Pickup trucks are all the rage in the U.S. and have been at the peak of buyers’ preferences for decades. However, such vehicles are only really made by mainstream manufacturers, with few (if any) of the premium automakers in on this highly lucrative segment. But what if Mercedes made a pickup version of its new GLB small SUV? Would anybody actually buy such a thing?

The 2020 Mercedes X-Class gets lost in the shadows among the coolest new Mercedes models to hit the market in recent years. That should change, at least for the time being, with the introduction of the first-ever X-Class to wear the “special edition” label: the X-Class Element Edition. Based on the Progressive trim of the X-Class, the Element Edition benefits from a smattering of exterior and interior touches, as any special edition model would. Options and packages are also included as standard equipment on the special edition pickup. There are no engine upgrades, though, so if you’re looking for a little power bump from the pickup’s four-cylinder diesel unit, you’re not getting any. Unfortunately, you’re also not getting the actual special edition X-Class if you live in the U.S. market.

Mercedes-AMG has shot down rumors of a high-performance version of the X-Class, ending speculation that the pickup would get a sportier alter ego. No less than AMG boss Tobias Moers dropped the hammer on rumor at the launch of the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe in Texas recently. Those who have pined for such a model can now rest easy. Your calls won’t be answered. There will be no Mercedes-AMG X pickup in the near — or far — future.

Just when you think that Chevy, GMC, Ford, and RAM cracked the luxury nut within the massive pickup trucks universe, Mercedes-Benz comes with its

based X-Class to show us all how things are supposed to be done. For some, however, a luxury pickup truck simply isn’t good enough. Aftermarket tuners such as Carlex Design from Poland, who reinvented the luxury in the X-Class, comes to the rescue. Yup, if you are into Mercedes-Maybach cars, you may have already noticed some similarities between this truck and the most expensive and luxurious Mercedes-Maybach vehicles. A design like this isn’t pursued only by chance - Carlex Design wanted to transform the X-Class into a Maybach. This is usually achieved only in Photoshop but Carlex Design has stepped up and delivered in the real world.

You wouldn’t exactly be wrong if you said the X-Class is just a rebadged Nissan. In fact, it really is just a rebadged Nissan – the Nissan NP300, to be exact. Be that as it may, Merc managed to do a little bit to make it its own by adding in your traditional Mercedes styling cues like those sleek headlights, that grille, and let’s not forget the unmistakable front fascia that literally screams Mercedes. Of course, the interior is all Nissan too, but there are some Mercedes DNA in the mix there too. Under the hood, you’ll find one of four engines – two four-cylinder diesels, one V-6 diesel, and one gasoline-powered four-banger. All can be had with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic, save for the V-6 which forces you to take the auto in exchange for a full-time four-wheel drive system. With that in mind (and despite the fact that it’s just a Nissan wearing a Mercedes costume,) we’ve decided the X-Class deserves a little time as Wallpaper of the day. After rumors and speculation, Mercedes-Benz finally dived into the pickup truck segment with the X-Class in 2017. Sure, Merc’s utility vehicle is mostly a rebodied Nissan Navarra, but it’s a welcomed addition to a compact segment that lacked the premium appointments of a Mercedes vehicle. Unfortunately, the X-Class didn’t get the green light for North America, where it would have provided solid competition for the popular Chevrolet Colorado and the newly launched Ford Ranger. Not all hope is lost though, as Mercedes has been spotted testing a new version of the X-Class with a longer bed. If recent rumors are accurate, this model will cross the pond to the U.S.
