It’s been some five years since Tesla first showcased its bioweapon defense mode in the Tesla Model X. From that point on, it was an available option for the Model X and Model S, and eventually became standard equipment as of July 2018. Now, you can add the Tesla Model Y to the list, as it is now on the list of cars that come standard with the big HEPA air filter and the bioweapon defense mode.

Last week’s biggest news came from yours truly Tesla, who announced that the Model S and X will be going under the scalpel for much-needed nip and tuck. The highlight of said nip and tuck was the yoke-style steering wheel which is certainly an enticing feature for Tesla die-hards and at the same time, something that might not see fruition.

Tesla cars are loaded with weird, unorthodox features and gimmicks. But there are some of them which are absolutely fantastic, one of them being the Sentry mode. There have been numerous instances in the past where the Sentry mode has recorded suspicious activities done to and around the car and has proved very helpful. Thanks to this post on Reddit, we’ve now come across another nifty little feature that helps keep the Sentry mode on guard even in the toughest conditions – a heater that melts away the snow on it.

Tesla’s holiday update this year includes a feature known as ‘Boombox’. It makes use of the external speaker to turn your car into a, well, boombox. While it can be used as a source of entertainment to play your media, it can also be used to create fart sounds. Well, if that kind of humor amuses you, go ahead, install the upgrade, and scare the unsuspecting folks who pass by your vehicle.

Tesla Battery Day is one of the most anticipated events in the EV world, and this year, the automaker has decided to hold it in conjunction with the annual shareholder meeting. This year was going to be all about the tech-related advancements from Tesla and not any new products per se, so there are a lot of hopes pinned on this event.

Tesla has now launched a new upgrade for the Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor Long Range that will boost your acceleration enough to get you to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds – an improvement of 0.5 seconds. This news comes less than 24 hours after fine print about such an upgrade showed up at the bottom of the upgrade section in some people’s Tesla account. The upgrade is aptly called “Acceleration Boost,” and if you want it, it’ll cost you an extra $2,000.

When you talk about the accessories for the Tesla Cybertruck, you think about overlanding and off-road equipment. But, how about a garage for it?

A research, development, and design company called Lars Buro has come up with a garage for the oddly-shaped truck called the Cybunker. Believe it or not, this is the need of the hour because the Cybertruck DOES NOT fit in a standard two-car garage. Also, the Cybunker is not a random concept that will never see the light of the day; Lars Buro says it is production-ready.

A variety of entertainment options could be headed to Tesla’s in-car entertainment system after a hacker discovered assets within the automaker’s operating system. These assets were identified as several new streaming apps, including HBO, Twitch, Comedy Central, and even Chinese video hosting service YouKu.

Though no confirmation has been given on Tesla’s plans for these assets, their existence within the company’s operating system suggests that Tesla is considering adding these services in some future version of its software, provided that it has secured agreements with the companies that own these streaming services.

Tesla has a different view of what “having fun in a car” should mean. Don’t get us wrong, but for the vast majority of gearheads out there, that’s synonymous to actually driving the car and occasionally taking it to the limit. Call us old fashioned, but we don’t see a point in offering your customers the likes of in-car gaming and in-car karaoke since we’re still far, far away from Level 5 autonomous driving. No, Tesla’s Autopilot isn’t that.

As usual, Tesla will deliver the update through its over-the-air system this week, but before you get it, here’s what you should look for. For a better grasp, we’ve grouped the new features based on their purpose.

With so many carmakers working on self-driving technology, there’s no denying that autonomous cars are the future. He believed something was strange and thought the Autopilot was malfunctioning. Only when he reviewed the vehicle dashcam footage, which he shared on YouTube, did the Model 3 owner realize that the Autopilot system saved him from being sideswiped by a truck.

Three days before Tesla reported its devastating losses per share for the Q1 2019, Twitter user Hamid published a compelling and somewhat surprising video of the 2020 Tesla Roadster on its Twitter feed. For the first time, we can see the rear seats and the interior of the upcoming Tesla Roadster. In a short video, Hamid managed to film the interior, show us how to open the 2020 Tesla Roadster doors and reveal the overly minimalistic dashboard. 2020 Tesla Roadster intimate pictures do show a few other curious tidbits too.

The 2020 Tesla Model Y is close to making its big debut, but before it does, let’s take a moment to speculate on what it’ll offer in terms of range, output, handling, and acceleration!

One of the coolest advantages of electric powertrains over internal combustion engines is that power and torque are available instantly. And this is one of the reasons why the Tesla Model S is the quickest production car with a 0-to-60 benchmark of only 2.5 seconds. Now, Tesla wants to put the Model 3’s instant torque to good use on the race track through a new driving mode. It’s called Track Mode and turns the compact sedan into a drift machine.

Tesla’s back in the news and, lo and behold, it’s again because they have to pay a few million dollars back. This time, the money will go to aggravated customers who bought the $5,000-worth Autopilot 2.0 suite only to find out that they have to wait months before it actually becomes available.

As part of the $5,400,000 settlement, which will see Tesla pay back customers anywhere between $25 and $280 depending on when they purchased the car. Basically, Tesla announced they will release the Autopilot 2.0 group of functions in December of 2016 in two separate packages: the ’Enhanced Autopilot’ package which was priced at $5,000 and the ’Fully Self-Driving’ package which cost $2,000 less. Sadly for customers, Tesla couldn’t keep up to its side of the bargain so lawsuits were filed aplenty.
