The second-generation Tesla Roadster, which is supposed to hit the market by 2020, is still nowhere to be seen. It’s nearly the end of 2021, and Tesla apparently has removed pricing information on its website, along with stopping reservations for the Founders Series.

German tuning studio Manhart is mostly known for its tasteful modifications to various BMW models. For years, the tuning specialists have taken BMW vehicles and have enhanced their looks, as well as performance. In more recent times, the company has started branching out and we’ve seen their work on cars like the Lamborghini Urus and Land Rover Discovery. Apparently, they’ve decided that the Tesla Model 3 could use a grille, despite being an EV, and the results are interesting to say the least.

Tesla has got four mass-produced models in the market today and all of them are doing extremely well. The S3XY range is now mature and will keep the ball rolling for the automaker, but it’s now time for Tesla to focus on its next quartet to further establish its dominance. We already know that the Cybertruck, the next-gen Roadster, and the SEMI are in the pipeline, but there’s another upcoming model that could become the company’s best-seller if it plays its card right. We’re talking about the supposedly mythical, $25,000 hatchback, dubbed as the Model 2, and Autocar seems to have some news about it

The publication has reported that Tesla’s cheapest EV is set to go on sale in 2023. Now, going by Musk’s timeline, we don’t see that happening for at least the next 2-3 years. Would customer deliveries in 2027 be a realistic expectation?

The Tesla Cybertruck was arguably one of the most anticipated vehicles of 2019. There was a constant buzz surrounding it the preceding year of its launch. Somehow, Tesla managed to keep it away from carparazzis very well. Not a single soul on earth got a glimpse of it, even when Tesla teased it at the Model Y’s launch. But sometimes, things come out in the open, like these secrets that give out a lot about the production-spec Cybertruck.

Since Elon Musk announced a new affordable Tesla model at the 2020 Battery Day, the internet has been buzzing about it, trying to unearth every detail possible. Although Tesla is known to keep the cards close to its chest in such matters (remember what a surprise the Cybertruck was?), there are a few bits of information out there apart from the ones that Musk has announced. One – it could arrive sooner than expected. And, two – it will cost not $25,000; but $18,000!

At the 2020 Tesla Battery Day event, Musk announced that the company will build a $25,000 ‘affordable’ EV. This came as a surprise because Musk had mentioned in the past that the company will not build an inexpensive vehicle. There are no specific details about the car yet, not even the body style, but it is expected to be a hatch.

An artist who goes by the handle ‘KDesign AG’ has rendered the $25,000 EV and uploaded it on Behance. The artist calls it the Model H, and honestly, it looks super classy.

Tesla had another moment of internet glory and hype as the Interwebs were filled with interior renders of the revised Model S and Model X. Specifically, it was the yoke-style steering wheel that caught everyone’s attention, even though it might not make it into production.

However, not everything is milk and sugar for the EV maker and its fan/customer base as the Roadster has been hit with a delay.

People have major range anxiety when it comes to passenger EVs; so you can imagine how commercial truck operators must feel about electric cargo haulers. Back in 2017, Musk had said that the upcoming commercial Semi would achieve as much as 500 miles of range on a single charge. It seemed almost impossible back then, but battery technology has taken huge strides. Three years later, Tesla is now talking about a 600+ miles range. Does it still seem unbelievable? I don’t think so.

Discontinued in 2010 after 18 years of the market, the Hummer nameplate returned in 2020. But this time around, it’s not a standalone brand, but a model sold under a GMC badge. The even bigger news is that it’s fully electric. Set to go into production in 2021, the truck version will go against the spectacular Tesla Cybertruck. But does it have what it takes to compete with Elon Musk’s oddly-shaped hauler? A few years ago when it only sold the Model S, Tesla promised a new electric car that would be better and more affordable than the Nissan Leaf. That project became the Model 3, but even though it is better than the Leaf, it’s not more affordable. Originally targeted to start from around $30,000, the Model 3 was priced from $35,000, and it currently retails from almost $38,000. Come 2020 and Elon Musk promises that Tesla will make a $25,000 car in three years.

As always, Musk made some interesting tweets just before Tesla Battery Day. One of them indicated that the upcoming Roadster, Cybertruck, and the SEMI will be powered by Tesla’s in-house batteries. However, before people start pointing fingers at Tesla, Musk also made it clear that they shouldn’t expect anything until 2022. Well, at least we got some information on before the Battery Day officially commenced.

The initial plan was for Tesla to be an affordable EV company. Now, cars like the Model 3 and Model X are fairly affordable to some – especially with various federal and local tax credits – they still aren’t exactly able to compete with other entry-level cars. During a recent conference call, Elon Musk stressed this fact and even alluded to making things right, part of which means that a smaller Tesla could grace the market, and in this case, we could be talking about a Model 3 Hatchback.
