2022 Porsche Taycan GTS

The 2022 Porsche Taycan GTS proves that being in the middle is not always a bad thing

Although Porsche’s most definitive model is the 911, these days it’s the Taycan that often steals the show. 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning

2022 Ford F-150 Lightning

The F-150 Lightning has everything going in its favor except for the range and towing capacity

Ford launched the F-150 Lightning earlier this year. The electric truck checks almost all the boxes and can be considered as the first mainstream electric pickup truck for the masses. There are a lot of electric trucks launched in recent years, like the Tesla Cybertruck, the Rivian R1T, the Lordstown Endurance, the Bollinger B2, etc. But, none of them offer the all-round capability that the F-150 Lightning does.

The Ford truck comes with all the bells and whistles one can ask for, and then some more. For now, Ford has launched it in one body style and three basic trims plus an exclusive work truck model, but expect it to grow in the coming years. With all the subsidies and credits, the F-150 Lightning works out to be the cheapest full-size truck in the market today! (more on this in the ‘Pricing’ section). From the looks of it, the F-150 Lightning seems to be an all-rounder that offers good power outputs, decent range, and a lot of tech features. Do you think it will be a runaway success, or will the loyalists look around at other trucks?

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E - Driven

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E - Driven

Ford’s first truly cool EV put to the test – is it up to our standards?

There’s no denying that in its short time in existence, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has seen its fair share of controversy. It started off when the name was officially announced, and to be honest, even a year in, not everyone is convinced that Ford’s first important EV is worthy of the Mach name. Is the Mustang Mach-E a true Mustang? Is it worth the price? How does it stack up against its non-Tesla competitors like the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the Audi E-Tron? The answers to these questions will probably surprise you.

2023 Aston Martin DB6 Remastered By Lunaz

2023 Aston Martin DB6 Remastered By Lunaz

It’s not the cheapest electric conversion on the market, but this is a classic Aston Martin we’re talking about

While it may be true that the Aston Martin DB6 has never enjoyed the same success or reputation level as the DB5, it was still a very impressive car. It offered improved aerodynamic and specifications compared to the DB5 and was offered in both coupe and convertible form. The problem with the DB6 is of course its age. Being built from 1965 to 1971 it is of course very difficult to find one in pristine condition. And this is where Lunaz comes along. For the right money - and we are talking about $1 million - the company will restore, re-engineer, and electrify your DB6.

2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE

The EQE is offered with a single-motor setup for now, 410 miles of WLTP-rated range, and could have a starting price of around $60,000

Mercedes-Benz was quite active at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show. It came up with five vehicles there, which included the AMG EQS, the EQG Concept, the EQB crossover, and the Maybach EQS SUV. Among this lot was also the EQE, an E-Class-based electric sedan. This baby EQS is loaded to the gills and seems like a sweet package at the onset. The only fly in the ointment is the availability of the single-motor setup, to begin with, but a dual-motor setup EQE and an AMG EQE will arrive in the future.

Mercedes unveiled the EQG Concept, the near-production electric alter-ego of the G-Class SUV, at the 2021 IAA Show and it looks swell

Mercedes went on an electrification spree at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show in Munich, Germany. One of the cars unveiled here was the EQG, the EQ electric equivalent of the legendary G-Class SUV, or more popularly known as the G-Wagen. The off-roader is one of the most iconic models ever built and is still going strong despite its boxy and old-school demeanor. In fact, that is the one thing that’s still attracting purists.

The company showcased the EQG Concept that follows a similar path, but with a lot of new tech. This is said to be a near-production concept, so we can expect the real deal to be revealed by next year, perhaps.

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the EQS earlier this year. This electric S-Class equivalent came with a whole lot of impressive specs and features that put it right on top of the EQ hierarchy. To elevate it to the next level, the German automaker introduced the AMG variant of the EQS called the EQS 53 4MATIC+ that comes with a lot more power and a few other mechanical upgrades. While it’s still not Tesla Model S Plaid-level performance, specs like 750+ horses will surely pull a lot of potential customers.

2021 Smart Concept #1

2021 Smart Concept #1

Daimler and Geely have teamed up to reinvent the Smart Brand. Concept #1 is the first of many EVs to come

Smart is one of those obscure automotive names that you don’t really pay much attention to. They are mostly known for their ForTwo model, which isn’t really worth mentioning, or the fun Smart Roadster, which could have been a great car if it wasn’t for the atrocious automated manual gearbox. Now, however, there might actually be a valid reason to talk about Smart, as they’ve introduced a funky sub-compact crossover at the IAA Munich auto show, called Concept #1.

Audi Grandsphere Concept - A Luxurious EV That’s A ’Private Jet For The Roads’

The Audi Grandsphere Concept comes with specs like 700+ horsepower, Level 4 Autonomy, and a luxurious cabin

Audi’s onslaught in the EV segment continues. Less than a month after debuting the convertible two-seater Skysphere concept, the automaker has now unveiled another concept; this time a four-door concept called the Grandsphere. The concept comes with interesting specs like a dual motor setup, 711 horses and 708 pound-feet of torque, 0-62 mph in just over four seconds, etc. The stretched model which Audi calls “private jet for the roads” is surprisingly even longer than some Ford F-150 models! Seems like an interesting product, doesn’t it?

2023 Vauxhall Astra-e

2023 Vauxhall Astra-e

The eighth-generation Astra will finally go electric, but it won’t be here as soon as you think.

Vauxhall/Opel’s first electric car - the Ampera - was a fiasco. While it started strong on the market, by the end of 2015 only 200 units a year were being sold. Now, the company hopes that the success will come by using electric powertrain on names with tradition on the market.

Now in its eighth generation, the Astra will be offered for the first time with an electric powertrain. Called Astra-e, the electric version will go on sale in 2023 and will be offered in both hatchback and station wagon versions.
