2023 Nissan Z Spotted Out In The Open And Boy Does It Sound Good

This YouTuber managed to get an up-close look at the upcoming Nissan Z

Prior to its debut about two months ago, sightings of test mules of the Nissan Z were quite common, and the car was spotted countless times. But since the new Z is now finally out, it seems like those test cars have ditched the camouflage.

YouTuber Jeff along with his buddy Mat came across this near production-ready Nissan Z, without any camouflage for a change

You’ve probably already seen all the press images, but YouTuber Jeff (Burnt Rubber), along with his buddy Mat, recently got lucky when they had the chance to take an up-close look at an unattended uncamouflaged and near-production spec example of the Z. It seems like he got there in a rush as it was pretty impromptu.

To the extent that it seems like this Z has already been in an accident. If you look closely, the shut lines on the hood don’t quite line up

The car has definitely been given some stick by some Nissan execs, as it wasn’t in pristine condition. Taking a look from the front, it looks like this car was even involved in an accident, as the shut lines on the hood don’t quite line up. Regardless, it still manages to look pretty epic, especially when seen from the rear. The design is very close to the Z Proto concept car that debuted earlier in the year.

They got to feast their eyes on the all-new interior of the upcoming Z

The guys also discovered that the car wasn’t locked and they hence got to check out the cool new cabin. There was a Malfunction error showing up on the dash, with about 12,000 miles on the clock. Given the number of wires running across the dash, we can safely say that this vehicle indeed is a company car, I mean it is on manufacturer plates. Nissan is obviously working hard to iron out any discrepancies before they begin customer deliveries.

Next, it was time to pop the hood to take a peek at the 3.0 V-6 engine that produces 400 hp. JDM people will most likely be familiar with the layout

They then moved on to pop the hood to check out the new 400 horsepower 3.0-liter V-6 engine that lurks underneath. The layout of various engine components might be familiar to many Nissan /JDM enthusiasts. The highlight though that’s created a lot of buzz with the new Z is that six-speed manual transmission. Finding a manual gearbox on a new model is now becoming rarer than ever, but thankfully, some high spec performance cars like the new Z have managed to hold on to it. Although the one seen here looks like the 9 speed Auto.

In the meantime, the guy responsible for this Nissan Z showed up with the keys

Before long though, someone who’s responsible for this Z showed up with the keys. He was a young guy who looked like an enthusiast himself. He fired it up and was more than happy to pose for the camera as well. The guy even was kind enough to launch the thing hard and the sound from the exhaust was intoxicating, to say the least, to say the least. He clearly has one of the best jobs in the world.

Nonetheless, it seemed well worth the effort, because the guy not only got to check out the exterior of the 2023 Nissan Z, but he also got a chance to take a peek under the hood and the newly updated interior, which almost everyone agrees is a big upgrade over the 370Z. These guys are clearly Nissan fanboys themselves, given the cars that they showed up in, a modified R35 Nissan GT-R and an Infiniti Q60.

You can watch the guys take you around the car in the video below and listen to the V-6 for yourselves
