First of all, let’s see what’s with the name.

"F" stands for Fangio (Juan Manuel) - the driver that drove the Maserati 250F to victory during the 1954 Formula 1 racing season.

"Tributo" is the Italian name for "homage" or "tribute" because the special edition is just that: a tribute to Maserati’s racing history.

The two special edition models will be offered in either Rosso Tributo or Azzurro Tributo. Red is the color of Italian motorsports and during its racing history, all the Maserati cars were painted red. Blue is one of the colors of the City of Modena, where Maserati headquarters is currently located.
